Exclusive interview with Simon Booth

This week’s exclusive interview is with Simon Booth! His new movie DirtyBoy just came out. You may know Simon as the director of some Eurocreme movies, the owner of HardBritLads.com, and the Director of DreamBoy/Rudeboiz/HungLadz series.
- Hello Simon, thanks for taking your time to answer our questions. A few weeks ago your new movie DirtyBoy has been released, and one of my favorite models, Luke Desmond is in it – he is on the cover too-. How long does it take to shoot a movie like this, what are the phases of making a movie?
First of all, we start with finding an interesting location, and then i develop a story from there. At the same time, im looking at new models and deciding who would work well with who, and i start working out a schedule. It all comes together at the last minute, so its usually quite a stressful period. I work alone, so I do everything myself, the filming, lighting, photography, even the makeup! Filming usually takes about a week, and then I hand it all over to an editor, and view it when he has finished, and get him to fix anything that isnt right. The whole process takes about a month.
- Where did the idea of making gay porn came?
I was approached by Max Lincoln about 8 years ago, when he had the idea to set up a UK porn company. I had a profile on gaydar and talked about being a filmmaker, which was what Max was looking for. He sent me a message, I replied and we met and made our first film. DreamBoy, about two months later. It was a very exciting time.
- How difficult is to find models for your movies? Are there lots of models to choose from, or you have to go after the models?
New guys apply for work, but often they are not the right look. Sometimes a great new guy applies, so Im always keen to work with them as soon as possible. And i look for guys online as well, on dating sites like DudesNude.com and Fitlads.co.uk
- In your HungLadz series you have guys with big dicks. Is it easy to find hung guys? What is the most important on a casting: face, body or the size of the penis?
I love filming guys with big dicks – the scenes are often hotter and more intense, and i know guys love to see a really big cock in action, so I have loads of really big cocks on HardBritLads.com. It is very difficult to find these huge dicks tho, so i am always looking. I think there are three important factors in a porn model: attractive face, good body and big cock. - If you work with straight guys, how hard is to work with them? Do you have to tell them what to do? Do they say no for this or that, or they do everything you ask from them?
Usually straight guys will only do a solo scene, a simple jerk off. Occasionally they will let a guy suck them off, but that about it, if they are genuinely straight. They do need to be told what to do a little bit, but a solo is simple and i try and keep it real and natural, and let them do it in their own way.
- What do you think about bareback porn?
I dont approve of bareback porn. I think it influences guys in a big way, and by seeing it, i think it makes it seem exciting and not as dangerous as it really is. I think sex with condoms can be just as horny to watch, if the sex is strong and real, and i want to encourage guys to see safe sex as being just as exciting as bareback porn. Too many young guys are contracting HIV, and we must do everything we can to stop it from spreading. I feel quite strongly about this.
- Can you tell us the funniest thing that happened on a shooting?
Many things! One one of my first shoots i was filming a group scene, and two muscle guys were fucking two twinks, and another twink was standing over the twinks and jerking off. As the fucking went on, it got stronger, and the twink jerking off lost his balance and fell right on top on the guys fucking. It was really funny. - As I’ve said before, the guy in the Penthouse Sex Party movie – the cover guy - is amazing! How did you find him?
He just appied to do it – he really wanted to do it, but only as a one off thing. Shame, as he was REALLY sexy!
- Is there any of your movies that you don’t like and which one is your favorite?
There are a few that I was never happy with, for various reasons, but i dont want to say which ones – i feel protective and proud of every film I have done, as so much work and effort goes into each one. My favourite film is Borstal Boy. It turned out SO well, better than i hoped for and it was a strong story and great acting – it is really like a feature film with hardcore sex, its a serious story. Very ambitious, but it worked.
- You’ve launched your website HardBritLads.com. Can you tell use something about it? Why should our readers join it?

- Can you tell me more about Luke Desmond? I’ve seen him working for different sites (and on your site), is he gay or straight? Is it easy to work with him?
